Chang Farms is located in Mākena, Maui. Mākena was once an area abundant in natural resources. Over the years, the significance of Mākena has been overlooked by development of mansions and real estate.

In the 1800’s, Ying “A’ana” Chang & Hattie Kukahiko owned the land that Chang Farms resides on today. Chang Farms, located above Mākena Landing & Five Graves, is a little piece of what Mākena used to be. The Chang family still reside on this land and utilize the resources that have been passed down for generations.

 

Today, Chang Farms grows loofah and kalo as well as other crops.  Chang Farms produces loofah soaps & hand-pounded pa`i`ai available for the community to purchase.
